Product Overview
The HHM1520A2 is a TDK multilayer or wound surface-mount RF balun transformer optimized for 2.3 GHz to 2.5 GHz front ends. The 1:2 relationship converts the 50 Ω unbalanced / 100 Ω balanced ports and establishes the differential load expected by the connected RF stage. Confirmed selection data includes insertion-loss performance of 1.0 dB maximum, return loss of 10 dB minimum, amplitude balance of 0 dB ±2 dB, phase balance of 180° ±10°.
The device is intended for Broad 2.3-2.5 GHz WLAN, Bluetooth and cellular 100 Ω differential interfaces. Its compact footprint lets the balun sit close to the RFIC, reducing the additional phase error and mismatch introduced by long differential PCB traces.
