Optoelectronics covers components that generate, detect, transmit or isolate electrical signals using light. The Antrex Optoelectronics category includes optocouplers / photocouplers for electrical isolation, LED emitters across infrared, ultraviolet and visible wavelengths, infrared transceivers for short-range optical communication, LED color-lighting devices for indication and illumination, and photovoltaic-output optoisolators for isolated gate-drive and switching applications. These products are used in industrial controls, power conversion, motor drives, communications equipment, sensing systems, lighting, displays, appliances and other electronic systems where optical energy is used for signaling, isolation, detection or illumination.

Choose the subcategory according to the optical function first. For optocouplers, compare isolation voltage, channel count, input LED current, output type, CTR or transfer characteristics, propagation delay and common-mode transient immunity. For LED emitters, verify wavelength or color, radiant or luminous intensity, viewing angle, forward voltage/current, package and thermal limits. Infrared transceivers require matching wavelength, link distance, modulation or data rate, field of view and supply conditions. LED color-lighting products should be selected by color configuration, brightness, drive current, optical geometry and thermal performance. Photovoltaic-output optoisolators require sufficient open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, isolation and turn-on/turn-off behavior for the intended MOSFET or isolated switch. Across all optoelectronic products, also check package, temperature grade, safety approvals, aging, moisture sensitivity and lifecycle status. Devices from different optical subcategories are not interchangeable simply because they use a similar package or wavelength.
