About Terminal Blocks

Terminal blocks provide organized, serviceable connections between conductors or from field wiring to a printed circuit board. This category includes DIN-rail and panel-mounted blocks, PCB terminal blocks, barrier strips and pluggable systems. Common functions include feed-through, distribution, protective-earth, fused, disconnect and test connections. Products may use screw-clamp, spring-cage, push-in or insulation-displacement termination and are widely used in control cabinets, machinery, power distribution and building installations.

Select by mounting method, connection function, positions or levels, pitch and wire-entry direction. Match the allowed solid, stranded and ferruled conductor range, rated current and voltage, insulation, temperature and approvals. For PCB or pluggable types, verify footprint, header orientation, mating series, polarization and coding. Confirm stripping length or tightening torque and compatibility with end plates, end stops, jumpers, markers and test accessories. Similar pitch or appearance does not ensure interchangeability; follow the manufacturer's series data and derating guidance for high-current, densely grouped or elevated-temperature installations.
