About Circular Connectors

Circular connectors provide detachable power, signal, data or hybrid connections in a round, polarized housing. Product families range from compact industrial sensor connectors to plastic commercial systems and rugged metal-shell aerospace or military types. Threaded, bayonet, push-pull and quick-lock coupling options help retain the mating pair under vibration or frequent service. Depending on the insert, one shell may carry crimp, solder, PCB, coaxial, high-speed, fiber or power contacts.

Select both mating halves from the same series and standard. Match shell style and size, insert arrangement, pin or socket contacts, keying or alternate rotation and coupling method. Verify contact size, quantity, wire range, termination tools, voltage, current, creepage and temperature. For sealed or harsh environments, confirm shell material and finish, backshell, cable clamp, wire or interface seals, corrosion and vibration ratings, and the protection level of the assembled, mated system. Check whether contacts and accessories are included; similar dimensions or contact counts do not establish intermateability.
